Job Summary:
REQUIREMENTS: Need to be a graduate of an approved ultrasound training program, have Basic Life Support (or equivalent or must obtain within 60 days of hire date). Board eligible and the ability to obtain A.R.D.M.S. licensure (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) in specialty areas within a six month period following hire and maintain licensure annually One year experience as an ultrasonographer, general, small parts, and venous vascular.
PREFERRED: Vascular and cardiac and/or peripheral arterial vascular experience. Have working knowledge of the following: All equipment, appliances and monitors relevant to the Ultrasound Department.
JOB DUTIES: Produces diagnostic ultrasound exams with established standards and practices; consults with radiologists, reviews protocol forms, interviews patients, prepares equipment and supplies as needed for each study; thorough knowledge and ability to operate assigned ultrasound equipment; has effective interpersonal and communication skills and conveys a positive and supportive attitude.
HOURS: On-Call, No Guarantee of Hours, shift and work days varied.
PAY: Based on experience
