Job Summary:
General Summary: The Respiratory Therapist takes exceptional care of people by providing independent coordination of respiratory care and implementation of respiratory care policy, procedure and/or protocols under the direction and supervision of a physician. Applies advanced clinical expertise, scientific knowledge, and theory in the respiratory care of patients exercising independent judgment. Functions in a leadership capacity as charge therapist, patient assessor, preceptor and/or instructor as assigned. Utilizes decision-making skills and critical thinking abilities (analytical skills, problem-solving, and negotiation skills) while performing all duties. Promotes the safety and well being of all patients and supports the key result areas Health & Services (Clinical Quality, Service Excellence, Financial Performance and Positioning for the Future).
Required: Graduate from accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
Licensed by Oregon State medical examiners.
