REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1 year experience as a Print Press Machine Operator
* Valid Xerox iGen Operator Certification (Proof of certificate required)
JOB DUTIES:
* Receive print requests from coordinator and print documents / jobs accordingly on cut-sheet and high-speed equipment, specifically iGen / Nuvera
* Work with Digital Manager, pre-press and production team specialists to prioritize work requests and ensure that the quality of all work produced meets digital/client standards
* Run proofs of each job to check quality before releasing the job to print and to all proof specifications
* Monitor print jobs for print quality by reviewing work as it is printed. Immediately bring any quality issues / problems to the attention of pre-press or the Digital Manager
* Maintain and demonstrate detailed knowledge of all job / equipment operating procedures
* Maintain daily operator logs to track daily production
* Communicate and inform management or appropriate vendors of printer/file problems
* Perform color matching to pre-approved proofs
* Perform various maintenance procedures on the iGen printer to achieve optimal quality and efficiency
* Lift 50 pounds and work in a standing position for long periods throughout the shift
HOURS:
* Full time, 40 hours per week
* Flexible to work overtime, including weekends, as well as accepting various assignments within the print room ie: running bindery equipment or learning to utilize new equipment
