REQUIREMENTS:
* Oral and written fluency in Spanish and English
* Enrollment in the Oregon Criminal History Registry prior to beginning employment and enrollment must be maintained throughout employment
* A post offer fitness for duty evaluation - TB Screening and Health Appraisal - within 30 days of hire date
PREFERRED: Current driver's license, insurance and access to a reliable automobile during work hours.
JOB DUTIES:
* Assist staff by providing oral translation when needed for home visits and related work.
* Convert spoken statements from one language to another in various settings.
* Carry out oral and written bilingual directions.
* Take direction from the assigned CDFS staff member.
* Take notes when necessary to assist with interpretation.
HOURS: On-Call position; Winter and Spring Breaks
LOCATION: Gresham
Language skill requirement or preference: To translate for monolingual clients
