REQUIREMENT: Currently licensed to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Oregon; Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy School. Basic Life Support certificate; ACLS certified and NRP or PALS certified, or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. Registered by the NBRC as a RRT or CRTT preferred. Minimum one year experience as a Respiratory Therapist in the acute hospital setting. Need to have working knowledge of the following: All equipment, appliances and monitors relevant to the Respiratory Care Unit.
JOB DUTIES: This list may not include all of the duties assigned. Performs patient assessments and evaluates the effectiveness of care delivered. Responds promptly to pages and delivers care in a timely manner. Provides patient and family instruction to meet needs. Operates Respiratory Care equipment.
HOURS: On-Call, No Guarantee of Hours, 12 hours shifts; work days to vary.
PAY: Wage is based on experience.
