Job Summary:  REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 4 year degree / Bachelors in related technical discipline (BS EE, BS ME, etc).
* At least 8 years of directly related work experience with a minimum of 3 years managing production equipment maintenance technicians and/or engineering technicians. Relevant candidates may bring experience from manufacturing companies and/or capital equipment companies.
* Extensive experience working in a highly automated, 24x7, high-volume manufacturing company with a focus on maintaining floor mount and gantry style Robotics (REIS, FANUC), hydraulics, vacuum, robotic safety interlock systems, PLC's (SIEMENS, BECKOFF, Allen Bradley) and RJ31B Controller.
* Demonstrated ability to alter and or write programs for PLC's (SIEMENS / Allen Bradley / BECKHOFF) and lead a team of technicians.
* Experience with people management must include hiring, employee coaching and development, performance management, and progressive discipline.
* Strong working knowledge of manufacturing or ERP systems and data entry and/or collection from such systems.
* Familiarization and experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and manufacturing safety procedures is required (e.g., lock-out / tag-out, electrical / high-voltage, chemical, reading MSDS, incident response procedures).
* Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, predictive maintenance, 5S and related manufacturing best practices is required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as this position is responsible for project and people coordination, management and reporting.
* Prior experience working with cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams to accomplish business objectives is required.
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word).
* Excellent track record of commitment to customer service.
* Must be able to travel to other SolarWorld sites domestically and internationally, as required, for knowledge transfer and problem solving. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport. Travel will be substantial in the beginning with extended visits to SolarWorld's other module production facilities.

JOB DUTIES:
* Reporting initially to the Head of Module - Hillsboro, the Production Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining highly automated production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
* Oversee technicians that repair and maintain the robotics and automated production and test equipment for PV solar panel production in a highly automated, high-volume, 24x7, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
