REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of a 2-year degree in a technical discipline required (e.g., Automation, Robotics, Electronics Engineering)
* Minimum of 5 years (for level III) or 7 (for level IV) related work experience in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment with proven experience supporting robotics and other automated capital equipment.
* Advanced knowledge and experience in floor mount and gantry style Robotics (REIS, FANUC), hydraulics, vacuum, robotic safety interlock systems, PLCs (SIEMENS, BECKOFF, Allen Bradley) and RJ31B Controller.
* Skill to alter and or write programs for PLC's (SIEMENS / Allen Bradley / BECKHOFF).
* Advanced electro-mechanical trouble shooting skills, including, basic electronics expertise, which may be tested.
* Knowledge of how to develop and execute effective PM's per manufacturer specifications. Preference for candidates who have worked with equipment vendors to improve PM's to reduce scheduled downtime and enhance equipment uptime.
* Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share your knowledge and expertise and enable your team members' mutual success as the organization continues to grow.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) as you will be working in a team environment that is very data-driven.
* Intermediate expertise with basic MS Office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PP) and intermediate experience with factory MES, ERP and SPC.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Proven ability to work well with production personnel at all levels of the organization.
* Must be able to travel to other company sites domestically and internationally, as required, for knowledge transfer and problem solving. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport. Travel will be substantial in the beginning with extended visits to company's other module production facilities.
* Specific experience programming FANUC / REIS robotics is highly desired.
JOB DUTIES:
* Work with process and manufacturing equipment engineers to ensure efficient day-to-day production operations in a high-volume, 24x7 manufacturing facility.
* Work as a team member to continuously improve production processes, equipment reliability and tool performance.
* Troubleshoot to determine robot malfunctions, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Troubleshoot, repair, problem-solve, and maintain electrical control problems.
* Disassemble robots and/or peripheral equipment to repair or replace defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, servomotors, servo valves, or automatic lubrication systems
* Perform and drive safe behaviors in all tasks and areas.
* Perform Minor & Major equipment maintenance tasks to established work instructions and procedures.
* Initiate investigations and corrective actions to problems with rigorous problem solving (Cause and Effect, Root Cause Analysis) methodology.
