REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of 7 to 8 years of related experience in an equipment automation environment.
* Manufacturing Execution Systems and shop floor automation experience.
* Experience automating tools incorporating XML message based interfaces and demonstrated ability to perform analysis and troubleshooting at both the protocol and message level.
* Query development experience with SQL language and relational databases is required, experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle highly desirable.
* System administration skills in a Windows Server environment.
* Candidates with background in statistical process control and process control charting will receive preference.
* Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally.
PREFERRED:
* Experience using and administering Windows Server 2003, Citrix XenApp, Thin Clients, VMWare highly desirable.
* Experience with Windows and Linux server. Current Windows and/or Linux certification highly desirable.
JOB DUTIES:
* Plan, oversee and troubleshoot Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation at the tool, terminal and workflow level.
* Analyze, define and document requirements for process tool interfaces, material flow and operating procedures.
* Interface directly with Production, Process and Maintenance Engineering on automation related production activities.
* Establish and manage productive technical relationships with tool vendors to ensure successful and timely interface activities after delivery.
* Provide ongoing support for the MES application, SPC activities and Maintenance Management System package.
* Responsible for specification and implementation of workstation hardware and peripheral systems.
* Develops and implements reporting standards and processes.
* Writes and maintains technical specifications and system documentation.
* Analyzes and estimates feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
