Requirements: Engine Boss: 3 years previous fire fighting experience at the single resource boss level.
Crew Boss: 4 years single resource experience.
Must pass pack test and have own work boots. Valid driver's license to operate fire equipment.
Employer also states that they are looking to hire Engine and Crew Bosses for the 2010 season.
Employer Notes: This is physically demanding job that requires working on steep and uneven terrain in all conditions.
Job Duties: Suppress forest fires as supervisor of an engine or 20 man crew. Fall trees, cut and clear brush, dig trenches, and extinguish flames and embers to contain or suppress fire, using ax, chain saw, shovel, and hand - or engine - driven water pumps.
Wage will be based upon knowledge and amount of experience.
Hours: Days, hours and schedule to be arranged with employer.
