Job Summary:
Immediate Need
Requirements: Female to care for female residents in a foster home. Experience caring for the elderly (all aspects to include bathing, dressing, feeding, diapering, transfers, etc.) in order to perform all described job duties. Have the desire to care for the elderly and the ability to live on the site. Ability to lift (for transfers). Pass drug screen and criminal background check.
No smoking on the employer's premises due to allergies and oxygen use.
Preferred: Experience working with patients that have Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
Job Duties: Reside at a home care facility and care for 3 elderly female residents. Perform medication management, house cleaning, meal preparation, transfers, laundry, personal care such as incontinence (diaper changing), dressing and bathing. Other duties as needed or assigned.
Hours: Will be on call 24 hours for the days worked and will have 2 days off each week, with the days to be negotiated.
Need to be available on weekends. The employer will arrange coverage for time off away from the premises.
Pay: $250.00 per resident each month up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per month with 4 residents in the foster home. Currently there are 3 residents and this foster home can accommodate a maximum of 4 residents.
Included are private living quarters, meals, telephone and satellite TV .
There are no accommodations available for anyone other than caregiver to live on site.
