REQUIREMENTS:
* BS or MS (preferred) in Electrical Engineering
* Training experience with field service personnel and installation contractors
* 5+ years of Systems engineering experience (fuel cell experience a plus)
* Required computer skills: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
* Desired computer skills: CAD, Oracle, internet connectivity
* Successful candidate will be highly hands-on and hardware oriented
* Excellent customer communication/interface skills a must.
JOB DUTIES:
* Train Field Technicians on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of fuel cell units
* Regional travel will be required to provide onsite customer support for installation and demonstration of a product within their region
* Perform in field troubleshooting/root cause analysis on site and from the plant using the Engineering terminal and field service technicians as required. Coordinate efforts and maintain communications with headquarters FS Systems Engineering team.
* Write detailed reports of findings and suggest possible hardware/software improvements
Assist Engineering with the following:
* Process controls and controller software functional requirement development
* Identify components with excessive failure rate as possible candidates for redesign and provide input as to desired changes and features that would add to durability.
* Conduct system audits in the areas of - pressure drop, heat loss, auxiliary power etc. to maximize power plant efficiency
* Fuel cell power plant testing, troubleshooting and system optimization
* Power plant and sub-systems performance analysis, hardware verification testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Assist Project Managers with the following:
* Make visits to clients homes to conduct cost estimating
* Assist with permit applications and education for provisioning and installing units
HOURS: Full time, days.

The Regional Field Services Systems Engineer will be a key member of an aggressive product development team focused on developing and commercializing our fuel cell system. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Field Services Systems Engineer will be responsible for carrying out systems design related activities underlying our proprietary technology.
The position requires a high level of drive and flexibility to work in a rapidly developing entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will be a resourceful problem solver, team player with excellent interaction skills, field service trainer, and capable of rapidly integrating observations and lessons into product improvements.
