REQUIREMENTS:
* Engineering Bachelors Degree.
* At least 10 years experience as a product marketing / management in computer or communication related industry.
* Excellent communication skills - written, oral, and presentation
* Structured business analysis skills to develop comprehensive business plans for investment approval purposes which includes opportunity quantification, competitive make-up, target share and sustainable differentiators to gain share
* Skills to develop financial analysis (Market sizing - Target Addressable Market, Serviceable Addressed Market, target share, Pricing analysis and value matrix, ROI, etc.)
* Skills to analyze competitive landscape, develop product positioning, and pricing strategies based on value matrix.
* Understand trends in the communication and networking infrastructure, standards such as 3GPP, LTE / WiMAX (IEEE 802.16), SDH / SONET, ATM, E1 / T1, IP and Security protocols.
* Extreme customer focus - understanding customer's environment to assess factors driving their behavior and requirements
* Leadership and skills to influence and motivate cross functional teams
* Decision making and problem solving skills
* Tolerance to ambiguity and dealing with incomplete information
* Demonstrated organization, planning and project management skills
PREFERRED:
* MBA with focus on marketing
* Program/project management experience is desired.
* Experience in dealing with Communications Service Providers, working in Telecom Equipment Providers, or product marketing / management of Compute / communication platforms for the embedded market and systems experience highly desired.
JOB DUTIES:
* Develop and conduct product and sales training for field teams.
* Participate in industry forums as appropriate to establish employer leadership position in the target areas.
* Develop product presentations and drive content for product literature.
* Write application briefs and application notes to highlight the differentiating values of employer's products.
* Responsibility to develop and manage new market areas / business for current products to accelerate profitable growth.
* Analyze Communications and Networking market segments, develop product strategies and develop business plan to address attractive market opportunities.
* Working with CTO office, identify technology trends for our target customers, determine adjacent markets and requirements for products and develop product investment proposals.
* Be the business lead for the current customers and internal product development teams - "making new markets" will inherently require interfacing with key customers, customer's customer, internal audience (sales management, Exec management, Finance, R& D and CTO) and others to evangelize and promote new application ideas.
* As needed, be the product manager for some of the products or the new products.
* Drive proposal responses and design win opportunities, develop product positioning, pricing strategy, and product launch plans for product he / she is responsible for.
6. Interact with customers and partners to promote employer's solutions and communicate employer's differentiated value.
