DescriptionThe Electroneurophysiology END tech I -Student Trainee learns how to prepare patients and conducts routine END procedures in the lab, and/or unit. The tech will collect data pertinent to the interpretation of tests and assist senior technologists or medical staff with complex recordings.Patient Preparation:Documents a comprehensive patient history including neurological symptomatology and medications. Administers medication as prescribed by physician in accordance with sedation policies. EEG, EP, NCV, AT and LTM Examinations:Equipment Maintenance:
QualificationsRequired: Associate degree or higher in Allied Health Education Program with the completion of an END program. ORFormal training in EEG/ EMG. Preferred: Experience in a hospital setting. Computers, simple math skills, knowledge of Epic systems a plus. BS- Biology
