Job Summary:
REQUIREMENTS: Associate Degree or two years related work experience. Limited energy License class A or B. An Apprentice in the Oregon Limited Energy License program before the 80 day review is over, or there is a waiver from BAH Administration. Works well with others. conveys a positive and supportive team oriented attitude. Has better than average technical skills. One year experience in duties related to Computer Network Specialist I position. Ability to apply critical thinking, independent research, and problem-solving skills to a wide variety of complex projects. Has working knowledge of HIPAA data and infrastructure standard. Better than average documentation skills. Better than average communication skills. Need to have working knowledge of the following: Computers, printers, fax telephones, photocopiers, modems, switches, routers, cable testers, the normal computer shop hand tools, ladders.
JOB DUTIES: Help maintain highest standards of network accessibility, security, and resilience; help maintain data confidentiality and data backups; maintain vigilant compliance with HIPAA guidelines and industry best practices. System setups and installation. Installation of software/hardware into new/legacy systems. Create, maintain and documentation of PC systems. Create images of new or rebuilt systems before deployment of new or rebuilt systems to users. Ongoing PC Peripheral support. (installation, repair and maintenance and documentation thereof of all PC peripheral devices including printers, scanners, bar code readers, addressographs etc.) Ongoing communication equipment support. (Installation, repair, maintenance, updating and documentation thereof of communication devices including phones, fax machines, modems etc.) Maintain state of the art industry knowledge to assist in the short and long term strategic planning of healthcare informatics within the business.
HOURS: 40 hours per week, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Varied/ Weekends required with hours negotiable.
